Direct vs. Indirect Object Triggers

Which verbs replace their person-object with lui/leur (à + person — indirect) versus le/la/les (direct object)? English gives almost no signal here — "call someone" and "look at someone" both sound like they need a preposition, but only one actually takes à in French. Choose a level and a mode below. Each round leans toward the most commonly confused verbs, with a smaller mix of less-common ones. No time limit per question — only your total round time is tracked.
